Brands is the assistant inside BrandsAI, the fashion-intelligence service of PulsarOS Intelligence Inc. (Corp #17777191, BN 730610631RC0001). This document explains Brands' memory: what it keeps from your conversations with it, how it decides, where it is kept, who receives it, how long it stays, and the controls you have.
It is part of your agreement with BrandsAI, beside the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, which apply in full. You accept it in its own box when you create your account. If your account is older than this document, the app asks you to accept it before you continue.
1, Why Brands remembers
So that Brands can help you as someone who knows you: your sizes, what you love and what you never wear, how you like clothes to fit, and what you are planning, without asking you again in every conversation.
2, What Brands keeps
- Facts about you and your style, of eight kinds: your sizes; your name; what you like; what you dislike or never wear; how you like clothes to fit; events you mention; your plans; and your style goals.
- The words each fact came from: a short quote of your own words, at most 240 characters, with the date.
- A short note for each conversation: at most 600 characters, composed by our software from the facts kept and what was decided in that conversation (for example, an outfit you chose), for your 30 most recent conversations.
Brands keeps at most 400 facts at a time. When you say something new about the same thing (a new size, a taste that changed), the newer fact replaces the older one, and Brands stops using the older one. Beyond 400, the facts confirmed least and longest ago are set aside the same way. Up to 200 facts that were replaced or set aside are kept behind the current ones, are never used, and are erased when you forget the fact they belong to or erase your memory; beyond 200, the oldest are erased first.
3, What Brands never keeps
- No recording of your voice, and no transcript of your conversations.
- Nothing Brands itself said is ever kept as a fact about you.
- Brands does not try to remember your health, religion, political opinions, sex life or sexual orientation, ethnic origin or immigration status, income, debts or other financial difficulties, or any arrest or criminal record. A filter refuses facts that touch these subjects before they can be kept. It works on words, it is built to refuse too much rather than too little, and it is not perfect: if you ever see a fact of this kind in your memory, erase it (section 7) and tell us at privacy@brandsai.ca.
4, How a fact is kept
A fact is kept only when its quote is found, word for word, in your own words in that conversation (what Brands heard you say, or what you typed in Ask Brands) or, for an event or a plan, in your own calendar when you asked Brands to read it. Every word of the fact must come from that quote, so the AI can choose which of your words to keep but cannot add a single one. This check is made by our software, not by the AI.
After a conversation, its words (yours, and what Brands answered) are read once by our servers, and once by a vetted AI provider acting on our instructions, to propose what to keep. The check above decides what is kept. The words of the conversation are then dropped.
5, How Brands uses it
At the start of each voice conversation, and with each message you send in Ask Brands, a short digest of what Brands remembers, at most 1,500 characters, is given to the AI provider that runs Brands for that conversation, so that Brands can answer you with it. Providers process it only to answer you and are contractually prohibited from training their models on it (Privacy Policy, section 4).
Brands uses its memory only to help you. It is never sold, never used for advertising, never shown to other members, and never used to train any third-party AI model.
6, Where it lives
With the rest of your account, on our servers in Canada, at OVHcloud's data center in Beauharnois, Quebec, under the protections described in the Privacy Policy (sections 5 and 11). Encrypted backups stay in Canada.
7, Your controls
In the app, under Settings, What Brands remembers, you can at any time:
- See every fact Brands keeps, with the words it came from and when.
- Forget a single fact, together with the older facts it replaced.
- Erase everything Brands remembers, at once.
- Pause the memory: while it is paused, Brands keeps nothing new and does not use what it remembers. Turn it back on whenever you like.
Pausing or erasing does not close your account and does not limit the rest of BrandsAI. Your rights of access, correction, deletion and portability under the Privacy Policy (sections 8 and 9) apply to Brands' memory as to the rest of your data.
8, How long it stays
A fact stays until you forget it, until it is replaced or set aside as described in section 2, until you erase your memory, or until your account is deleted, whichever comes first. Deleting your account erases Brands' memory with it. Erased data leaves our encrypted backups as they roll over, within one (1) year (Privacy Policy, section 7).
9, If you are under 18
As with the Terms of Service, if you are under 18 you confirm that a parent or guardian has accepted this document with you. An account cannot be created by anyone under 13 (Privacy Policy, section 12).
10, Changes to this document
If we change what Brands remembers or how, we publish a new version here and ask you to accept it in the app before you continue. The version and the date at the top show which version you are reading; the version you accepted is recorded with your account.
